Louis Vuitton store this Siam Paragon

After nearly three decades, the performance of healthy companies in Thailand, Louis Vuitton, the French luxury brand, continues to open new stores and upgrade others here. Jean-Baptiste Debain, president of Louis Vuitton Asia Pacific, said the fashion house is confident in the potential of Thailand as one of the world's best destinations for tourism. It has four stores here. The first store was opened at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in 1985, the second at the Emporium Shopping Center in 1997 and the third in Gaysorn Plaza in 2005. The fourth shop of 320 square meters, opened yesterday at Siam Paragon. It will target young customers and tourists. Rachaya Veerapong, the CEO of Louis Vuitton in Thailand and Vietnam, said Thailand ranks in the top 20 to spend on Louis Vuitton products and is among the top three in Southeast Asia and Singapore and Malaysia. Debain says the brand will enhance the existing stores to showcase product lines more bags, shoes, watches, ready-to-wear. Despite the debt crisis, it has opened two new stores in Italy and Greece. "Whether the economy is good or bad to buy Louis Vuitton customers, because it is an investment," he said.
