French
Luxury brand Chanel has chosen London for a perfume and cosmetics store only.
It has opened a sales contract for the "fragrance and beauty" concept store in Covent Garden, in time for the Olympic Games.
The 1437-square-foot commercial building on the market is part of the capital of the owner and counties to plan, more high-end brands to bring in the region.
The two-storey shop in Covent Garden, to open later this month, will "do more" even-stations and a nail salon. The store is a "pop-up" plans to open for six months, but if it is successful, it can stay longer.
The fragrance and beauty industry is a big part of the luxury industry. The fragrance market in the UK is approximately £ 1.5 billion. Despite declining consumer buyers are still willing to spend on cosmetics. Harvey Nichols, eager to cash on this trend, started a new chain of stores called Beauty Bazaar Beauty.
At Covent Garden, said Beverley Churchill, brand director at Covent Garden in London: "To be able to work with Chanel is a coup of the property and further evidence, such as point has changed the region."
